Job Title: Configuration Management Engineer


Job Responsibility: Providing consultancy to clients both in India and abroad in either improving, sustaining or implementing their configuration management processes and tools


Minimum Qualification: B.E. / MCA


Technical Skills:

- Must have a good understanding of Configuration Management System and implemented CM practices in more than one project.

- Ability to develop and implement good CM strategy & SCM plan

- Working closely with the development team to perform CM builds and setup build environments

- Providing training and technical support to developers and management team on CM tools and processes.

- Controlling changes to baseline.

- To record details of configuration item versions and their attributes in MCIL

- To define and maintain the project configuration within PVCS VM

- To define and maintain user roles and privileges set within the PVCS project

- To create and maintain the PVCS server share/directory to be used by the project

- To add any new configuration items to the PVCS project

- To check-in and check-out all configuration items

- To ensure that the details of the configuration items are up-to-date

- Experienced in installation, data backup, recovery and maintaining user groups

- Should have worked on Solaris or Linux operating systems

- Should be familiar with scripting languages like shell or Perl


Soft Skills:

- Excellent communication

- Excellent presentation skill

- Strong interpersonal skill

- Ability to work with teams


Optional Skills:

- Certified IBM Rational Clear Case Consultant

- Any other tool proficiency certificate
